East Carolina University (ECU) is the third largest school, by enrollment, in the North Carolina University System. ECU’s undergraduate and graduate student enrollment combined was nearly 28,000 in the Fall of 2010.
The University, which is located in Greenville, offers over 100 bachelor’s degrees, 72 master’s degrees, and 18 doctoral degrees. ECU has evolved into a highly diverse educational institution, and also emerged as a center of economic growth for the region.
Campus life at ECU sports an electric atmosphere with a wide variety of organizations and recreation available to students and Greenville areas residents. Of course, the North Carolina coast is an easy drive so beach lovers have only a short distance to travel to see the ocean and to enjoy the sand & surf.
