Elizabeth City State University enjoys a truly great location along the outer banks of North Carolina where sunshine and a mild climate set the tone for the day. ECSU is an excellent liberal arts university offering the distinct advantage of smaller classes, individualized instruction, and the attention of caring staff.
ECSU has an enrollment of around 3300 students total (mostly undergraduates) based on Fall 2010 statistics. Baccalaureate programs are primarily concentrated in the arts and sciences, and various professional areas. Master’s degrees are offered in several specialty fields. Students also have access to special educational & research programs. Notably, ECSU has ranked very highly in the South for academic excellence.
